Job Description

We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner specializing in mental health to join our dynamic team. The Nurse Practitioner will provide healthcare to a diverse clientele, including follow-up care, occasional consultations, preventative care, and client management. The successful candidate will be able to develop a practice within their area of ​​expertise, working closely with the multidisciplinary team and the Director of Nursing.

Main responsibilities

  • To offer clinical consultations in mental health to a diverse clientele (children, adults, seniors), according to one’s expertise.
  • To provide follow-up care for patients, according to one’s area of ​​expertise.
  • To actively participate in preventive care, screening, mental health promotion and symptom management.
  • Collaborating with other professionals at the clinic.
  • Rigorously document interventions in the clinic’s EMR (electronic medical record).
  • Participate in clinical meetings and case discussions.
  • Apply the applicable professional standards, protocols and guidelines.

Desired profile

  • Master’s degree in clinical sciences (nursing) and graduate diploma in mental health (IPSSM specialist certificate).
  • Member in good standing of the Order of Nurses of Quebec (OIIQ) with the right to practice as a Nurse Practitioner.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a mental health sector (an asset).
  • Strong interest in multidisciplinary work and frontline work.
  • Analytical and synthesis skills.
  • Autonomy, rigor, a sense of initiative and excellent communication skills.
